Rental Terms & Conditions

By booking a bicycle with Guava Bikes, you (“the Customer”) agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Payment

Full payment (100%) is required at the time of booking to confirm the reservation. No booking shall be considered confirmed until payment has been received in full.

2. Insurance

No travel, medical, theft, or damage insurance is included in the rental. The Customer assumes full responsibility for the bicycle and is advised to obtain appropriate insurance coverage independently.

3. Pick-Up Location

All bicycles must be collected from:
Carrer de la Força 25, 17004, Girona, Spain

4. Identification

A valid government-issued photo ID (passport or national ID card) must be presented at the time of pick-up. Failure to provide valid identification may result in refusal of the rental without refund.

5. Rental Period & Late Returns

The bicycle must be returned within the agreed rental period.

Late returns will incur the following charges:

  • €10 per hour (or part thereof)
  • €100 per full day

Guava Bikes reserves the right to charge these fees to the original payment method.

6. Responsibility for Damage

The Customer is fully responsible for the bicycle and any equipment for the entire duration of the rental period.

All costs arising from damage, misuse, or loss of components—including repairs and replacements—will be charged to the Customer.

7. Theft & Loss

In the event of theft or loss, the Customer is liable for the full replacement value of the bicycle and any included equipment.

The Customer agrees to take all reasonable precautions to prevent theft or damage, including:

  • Securing the bicycle with a lock when unattended

  • Storing the bicycle in a secure location

  • Not leaving the bicycle on balconies or in unsecured areas

Failure to follow these precautions may be considered negligent.

8. Authorized Use

The bicycle and all equipment provided may only be used by the individual named in the rental agreement. The Customer shall not lend, transfer, or permit use of the bicycle or equipment by any third party under any circumstances.

9. General Use

The Customer agrees to use the bicycle responsibly, in a safe manner, and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. The bicycle must not be used for racing, competitions, or any unlawful activity.
